REQUIREMENTS:MatricBCom Accounting Degree or relevant degree3-5 years experience in an Accountant or similar positionMicrosoft Excel - AdvancedMicrosoft Word - IntermediateStrong numerical and analytical skillsKNOWLEDGE:IFRS and Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesIncome tax and VAT LawsCompany lawsSA Foreign Exchange lawsKnowledge of insurance practicesRESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, insurance records, and stock journals.Manage bank accounts, process payments, and perform reconciliations.Handle fleet and credit card reconciliations and transactions.Prepare month-end reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and tax provisions.Calculate and process commissions and intercompany transactions.Oversee VAT returns and liaise with SARS on compliance matters.
