Are you ready to embark on an exciting career journey? We are seeking a proactive and skilled Financial Accountant to join our Sunsail and The Moorings finance team in Cape Town. This role plays a crucial part in our revenue and intercompany team, with responsibilities that include managing intercompany transactions across various legal entities and jurisdictions, as well as ensuring timely and accurate reporting and forecasting of customer receipts!

What you will be doing: Revenue & related expenses Forecast customer receipts and provide weekly reporting of charter receipts vs monthly forecast and weekly cash forecast Providing analysis of variances Monitoring and reporting of overdue customer receipts providing weekly reporting by sales office Monitoring and reporting of customer agent relationships, terms and collections, including liaising with agents where required Understanding of and recognition of quality expenses, working with the customer care team where applicable Raising payment requests and performing reconciliations for pass through revenue to a number of locations Preparation of revenue related KPI's as required Intercompany Review and approve global intercompany transactions, ensuring they are in-line with global transfer pricing policies and relevant back up is provided as required (including but not limited to proof of export, underlying supplier invoices, calculations) Assist with resolution of intercompany mismatches Lead on monthly global intercompany settlement process Provide validation / reconciliation for intercompany confirmations for audit as required Other Insurance balance sheet account management, including raising of accruals and releasing of pre-payments as required Working with the US tax director and Senior Financial Accountant Tax and Regulatory Reporting on providing information required for the US tax returns relating to intercompany transactions and customer deposits. What we are looking for: Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) ideally with experience in the hospitality sector Proficient in intercompany transactions, including the management, recording, and reconciliation of transactions between entities.
