Financial Accountant

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their team in Parow.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting.
This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong analytical skills and a background in accounting.
Responsibilities: Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Conduct general ledger reconciliations and manage the month-end closing process.
Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, including VAT, payroll, and income tax filings.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Conduct variance analysis to support decision-making and improve financial performance.
Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
Maintain accurate financial records and document processes and controls.
Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification (e.g., SAIPA, SAICA) preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting.
Knowledge of IFRS and South African tax regulations.
