Financial Accountant

Our client is seeking a Financial Manager to produce accurate and timely month-end, quarterly, and annual results.ResponsibilitiesPrepare individual and group consolidated financial statements.Review cashflow vs cashflow targets on a monthly basis.Update and review the "open to buy" targets.Prepare and control annual expense budget based on company parameters.Manage and control expenses per budget.Prepare financial section of the Board Pack.Analyse and review discrepancies.Ensure that all expenses are accounted for and accrued in the correct period.Check that management accounts are issued within 5 working days of the new month.Ensure that hours worked are reconciled.Ensure that volumes delivered and cost per kg are reconciled.Take accountability for all accounts to be fully reconciled and any reconciling items to be addressed.Ensure the accuracy of all balance sheet account reconciliations in terms of raising accruals and pre-payments.Calculate premiums and finance charges.Complete postings.Co-ordinate and manage Botswana payroll.Manage and co-ordinate promotional items.Produce breakdown of logistics methods.SkillsAdministrative ability.Numeric ability.Budgeting skills.Processing and synthesis ability.QualificationsB Comm Honours or equivalent.CIMA qualification.Advanced accounting expertise.Understanding of company policy.Operational understanding.Creditors knowledge.Reconciliations.F8 knowledge.Ratio analysis.Free cashflow.Consolidated results.Knowledge of CaseWare.Analysis and review ability.Understanding of cash flow process.Knowledge of FHG accounting processes.Stock purchasing process understanding.Understanding of FHG commission structure.Audit process knowledge and understanding.Experience in the production of management accounts.
