Job Title: Financial AccountantLocation: Cape Town, Airport CitySalary: Market RelatedVacancy Type: Full-TimeClosing date: End Aug 2024 Duties and responsibilities:1. Statutory Returns:CIPC Annual Return: Handle all aspects of the CIPC Annual Return.SARS Tax Returns:VAT-201s: Monthly calculation, review, and handling of SARS audits.Income Tax Return (IT14 & IT14SD): Preparation and submission.Provisional Tax (IRP6): Calculation and submission.Annual Payroll Reconciliation: EMP501, IRP5s, and annual financial statements reconciliation and review.STATS SA Return: Complete and submit.2. Operational Duties:Liaise with third parties regarding legal matters.Coordinate with third parties for the review/audit of financial statements.Manage insurance matters related to company assets.Handle bank-related matters including guarantees and general operational requirements.Prepare and review asset sale/purchase agreements.Oversee the preparation of budgets and actuals on an annual and monthly basis.Conduct tax planning and weekly cash flow planning.Review weekly local payments and process foreign payments.Review accounting transactions/documents processed by the credit controller.Prepare financial and management statements and address any SARS audits or reviews.Produce monthly and general operational reports as required.Implement and review internal accounting controls.Assist with the completion of tender documentation.3. Local Companies:Monthly group reporting, including loan accounts, assessed losses, and group investments.Review financial statements for all group companies before submission to auditors/reviewers.Liaise with third parties for the review/audit of the group's financial statements.Assist with group tax planning.Provide general operational reporting and assistance as required.Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:BCom in Accounting or an equivalent degreeMinimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.Strong knowledge of statutory returns and SARS tax regulations.By submitting your information and application you hereby confirm:1.
