Financial Accountant

Join our client, a well-renowned fast-food chain, as a Financial Accountant! The role is best suited to someone who is driven and ambitious. The ideal candidate will be someone who has previous experience within the retail, manufacturing or FMCG space. Responsibilities:Reconciliations for Payroll: comparing payroll data to general ledger entries and posting corrections where neededFixed asset register: creating assets, doing monthly recon between fixed asset register and GL entries, and doing depreciation runs on the systemBank reconciliations: salaries and suppliers' bank accounts, identify where reconciling items existAssist with monthly VAT submissions, monthly VAT reasonability checks, provisional and final income tax submissionsMonitoring and managing adherence to IFRS for SMEs / GAAP standardsAnalyse and account for foreign exchange movements based on foreign payments made to suppliersRequirements:Relevant Tertiary QualificationSAICA or SAIPA articlesPrevious experience in performing payroll reconciliations is highly advantageousPrevious exposure to foreign exchange transactionsPlease note that if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of your application, please consider it as unsuccessful for this particular role.
