Working within our Finance team, this position will be responsible for a range of accounting activities for multiple companies within the Group. You will report to the Financial Manager.
This position will predominantly be based in Durbanville with travel to our DC in Epping.
Main Accountabilities include but are not limited to: Daily/Weekly:
Management of the Finance Administration teamEnsuring DEXT/APMax/XERO are up to date with processing turnarounds per normal SLA with Finance Administration teamReview and releasement of paymentsGRN Health Check across SYSPRO and CIN7AP and AR reviews with instructions to Finance Administration teamReview of Cashbook recons prepared by Finance Administration teamMonthly:
Fixed Asset Register (FAR) maintenance – as well as Wear & Tear register.Monthly Management Journals (Provisions/Accruals/Interbranch allocations, etc)Intercompany – Loans and Invoicing (Cost Recoveries/Recharges)VAT Preparation for Financial Manager ReviewBalance Sheet Reconciliation preparation for review with Financial ManagerPreparation/review of Management AccountsOversight & management of stock count process for the Manufacturing entityReview of materials utilisation and recovery in the Ecommerce and Dispatch division of the businessTechnical skills: BCom Degree in Accounting or Management AccountingMinimum 3 years' experience managing / leading a team5- 8 years relevant accounting experienceExcellent Excel skillsManufacturing experience would be advantageousExcellent PC skills (MS Office, Syspro, Xero and CIN7 experience would be advantageous)Good knowledge of IFRS for SME's standardsPersonal skills and attributes: Excellent planning, organizational and interpersonal skillsAbility to exercise resilience when facing challengesDeadline drivenDemonstrates a positive hands-on can-do attitudeAble to work independently, yet be a team playerAbility to manage and lead a teamMust be a positive, energetic, self-starter with excellent problem solving and decision making skills
