Job & Company Description:The purpose of the role will be to prepare and analyse accounting records, financial statements and financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.Duties will include, but not be limited to:Prepare monthly and annual financial statementsDaily cash managementDaily recording of asset transactions (additions, disposals and transfers)Accruals accounting and impact of entries on profit and loss, balance sheet and the cash flowCompile monthly accounting recordsPrepare month-end reconciliationsDebtors age analysisPrepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual statutory returnsGenerate finance reportsRespond to audit queriesGenerate monthly depreciation journalRecord daily financial transactionsSupervise a team performing routine workReview accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differencesIf this sounds like you, apply now!Education:BCom Degree in Finance or Accounting fieldHonours degree essentialSkills & Experience:Completed SAICA articles2 to 4 years post articles experience within a financial accounting roleInsurance or Financial Services industry experience NON-NEGOTIABLEIFRS17 experience essentialSage X3 working knowledge essentialStrong Microsoft Excel skillsFinancial and business acumenStrong personalityAbility to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environmentFlexible and open-mindedTeam playerApply now!
