Financial Accountant (Financial Statements)

My client, based in George, is looking for an Accountant with experience in Financial Statements. Requirements: In the process / finished with SAIPA articles Experience with Financial Statements Bachelors Degree in Financial Accounting At least 23 years of post-articles experience in a financial accounting role. Proficient in preparing financial statements and reports. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, or Pastel). Responsibilities: Prepare and compile accurate financial statements in compliance with accounting standards. Manage and oversee the general ledger and month-end/year-end close processes. Conduct financial reporting, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Perform reconciliations for accounts, including bank reconciliations , to ensure accuracy. Ensure compliance with tax regulations , including VAT and income tax submissions. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes. Support external audits by preparing relevant documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Monitor and maintain financial controls to ensure compliance with company policies.
