Finance Team Leader

We are looking for an ambitious accountant/bookkeeper who is seeking to build their career within the InsurTech industry.
The Finance Team Leader will support the Financial Manager in overseeing all financial transactions including co-ordinating the finance team in their daily tasks.
The ideal candidate will ensure the accurate and timely accounting of financial transactions while playing a role in Reporting & Forecasting the financial performance of the company.
Responsibilities: Weekly & Monthly revenue billing Management of debtors book Full bank reconciliations Receivables & Payables account reconciliations Daily & weekly payment remittance submissions to FM Relationship management with client's payment teams Support in efficient integration of operations & finance team tasks Assist in managing the performance of the finance team, ensuring productivity and compliance with team objectives.
Review adequacy of internal financial controls and the application thereof across the finance activities of the team Analyse variances between budgeted and actual financial performance, identifying key trends and insights Qualifying criteria: NQF level 5 and higher in finance, economics, business administration or similar specialisation; 2 years or more of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience (FinTech industry experience an advantage) Strong skills in accounting software (Xero is an advantage) with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, solution driven, highly organized and detail-orientated with good decision making and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders at different levels.
