Job Summary:
The Finance Team Leader will support the Financial Manager in overseeing all financial transactions including co-ordinating the finance team in their daily tasks. The ideal candidatewill ensure the accurate and timely accounting of financial transactions while playing an important role in the budgeting, financial reporting, auditing, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifying criteria:
NQF level 5 and higher in finance, economics, business administration or similar specialization;
2 years or more of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience (FinTech industry experience an advantage)
Strong skills in financial software (Xero is an advantage) with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, solution driven, highly organized and detail-orientated with good decision making and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders at different levels.
Responsibilities:
Weekly & Monthly revenue billing• Management of debtors book
Full bank reconciliations
Receivables & Payables account reconciliations
Daily & weekly payment remittance submissions to FM
Monthly Trial Balance preparation
Relationship management with client's payment teams
Support in efficient integration of operations & finance team tasks
Assist in managing the performance of the finance team, ensuring productivity and compliance with company objectives.
Assist in managing the cash flow and liquidity to ensure financial stability
Review adequacy of internal financial controls and the application thereof across the finance activities of the team
Analyse variances between budgeted and actual financial performance, identifying key trends and insights
