Job Description Scope of Position: The Finance Supervisor oversees all financial activities of the hotel, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
This position plays a key role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, contributing to the overall success of the hotel. Summary of Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the finance team, including staff accountants, accounts payable, and accounts receivable personnel.
Provide guidance and training to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
Monitor chart of accounts and account coding accuracy.
Review journal entries and adjustments.
Audit Support: Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
Provide auditors with necessary documentation and explanations.
Ensure audit findings are addressed promptly.
Compliance and Regulations: Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and ensure compliance with tax laws, financial reporting standards, and other relevant regulations.
Ensure that all Accor Policy and procedure are implemented by the Hotel Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Financial controller and senior management.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
Monitor budget performance and communicate financial variances.
Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow by overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies in the finance department.
Other: Any other task that might be allocated to you by the Hotel.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field Prior experience in Hospitality is preferred.
