We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a critical financial system migration project.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration of our actuarial functions into a new ERP system and aligning our finance processes with the new Target Operating Model.
Job Description: As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of a Financial General Ledger (ERP system) and financial planning tool.
You will work closely with actuaries and Finance Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to integrate actuarial functions into the new system, manage data migration, and ensure the successful planning, testing, and deployment of these financial systems.
Key Responsibilities: Financial System Migration: Lead the migration from Great Plains ERP to a new financial system, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to business operations.Integration of Actuarial Functions: Collaborate with actuaries to integrate actuarial processes into the new financial system.Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, outlining timelines, resource requirements, and deliverables for the migration and integration process.Data Migration and System Build: Liaise with Finance SMEs to define system build requirements, including a chart of account structure, data migration strategies, testing protocols, and reporting needs.Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure alignment and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.Change Management: Oversee complex change management initiatives, including training and support for end-users to become proficient in new systems and processes.Methodology Application: Apply both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies, utilising tools such as JIRA to manage and track project progress.Qualifications: Education & Experience: Over 10 years of experience as a Project Manager or Program Manager, with a strong background in accounting or finance.Financial System Expertise: Proven experience in financial system migration, particularly with ERP systems such as Great Plains.Project Management Skills: Demonstrable experience managing end-to-end financial system implementations, with a focus on general ledger and financial planning tools.Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall and Agile) and tools (JIRA).Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, with experience in data migration, system integration, and process documentation.Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Change Management: Experience in managing complex change management initiatives and user training programs.If you are a results-driven professional with a passion for financial systems and project management, we encourage you to apply.
