Finance/Project Administrator – Pietermaritzburg

Key Performance Areas:

Oversee finance, administration, and operations teams, ensuring processes run smoothly
Register new projects on CaseWare promptly, maintaining detailed records and a seamless interface between CaseWare Cloud and CaseWare Time
Manage staff rates and timesheets, tracking and approving data for WIP (work-in-progress) reporting
Generate WIP and productivity reports, offering critical insights to optimize performance
Analyse project costs, revenue, and billing status weekly to ensure maximum profitability
Prepare and maintain annual financial statements and monthly management accounts, delivering results to the CEO
Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor trends and productivity, presenting findings to the executive team
Lead cross-functional process improvements, designing workflows and introducing new systems/software to boost operational efficiency
Provide high-level administrative support, including CRM management and analytics insights to improve departmental processes
Collaborate with managers to adapt and implement process improvements that foster productivity
Cultivate a data-driven culture, ensuring business decisions are grounded in actionable insights
Assist with ad hoc finance/project requirements

Requirements:

Tertiary qualification – BCom Degree or equivalent
3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the finance or project management field
Strong leadership and management skills with a thorough understanding of practice management
Advanced reporting and analytical abilities, with excellent writing skills
Proficiency in CaseWare (essential) and Pastel
Advanced Excel skills to drive insights and reporting
A keen eye for financial acumen and project profitability
