A leading international company operating in the web hosting and domain sector is seeking an engaging and process-driven Finance Operations Manager to join their team in Cape Town, reporting directly to the CEO in Malta.
For over 20 years, the company has specialised in providing robust hosting solutions tailored to various needs and has become one of South Africa's leading web hosting providers. As the Finance Operations Manager, you will shape the company's strategic direction and drive financial operations whilst collaborating closely with the South African team and developing the entire finance function in Malta.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and alignment with company goals.
Streamline financial processes, implementing automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Act as a strategic partner by contributing with informed insights and participating in decision-making.
Promote collaboration and cross-skilling within the team to increase adaptability and support broader company needs.
Oversee financial software and tools, ensuring they are effectively utilized for accurate reporting and analysis.
Serve as the primary finance contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and negotiation.
Prepare and oversee compliance with financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory compliance requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
CA(SA) qualification is required.
8+ years of professional experience in auditing and senior financial roles.
Proficiency in using accounting and related software (Sage Evolution, People, and MS Excel).
Exposure to international professional practices (DTA's, WTA's, and transfer pricing).
Professional experience within a European (preferably Maltese) business environment is advantageous.
Salary and Benefits:
Cost to Company Per Annum: 1,000,000 - 1,200,000 / year CTC (slightly negotiable depending on the candidate).
Hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the Cape Town office.
