Their expertise encompasses every aspect of the process including sourcing, due diligence, specification management and supply chain.We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced CPA with expertise in US GAAP, SOX, multi-subsidiary, and multi-currency accounting.Responsibilities:Financial Reporting - Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP for multiple subsidiaries operating in multiple currencies.Oversee month-end and year-end close processes including - Review of intercompany journal entries and bank reconciliations; Preparation and review of subsidiary cost allocations; Reconciliation of specific non-cash accounts; Preparation of reporting packs.Prepare and maintain audit trails and supporting documentation to substantiate financial transactions and reporting.Financial Analysis - Assist in financial analysis as required and support the Controller in ad-hoc financial projects, including forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning.Internal Controls - Continuously assess and improve internal controls based on changing business processes and emerging risks.In collaboration with the Controller, develop and implement internal control procedures and policies to address identified risks.In collaboration with the Controller, ensure that internal controls are in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, such as Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).Multi-Currency Accounting - Manage and oversee accounting activities for multiple currencies, including currency conversion, consolidation, and reconciliation.ERP System Management - Utilize ERP systems and financial software to streamline processes as well as recommend improvements and enhancements to financial systems.Qualifications:Education - CPA (preferred) or CA(SA).Extensive experience in accounting and financial management, with a focus on US GAAP.Thorough understanding of US tax regulations (SOX).Previous experience working in a multi-subsidiary and multi-currency accounting environment.Attention to detail and strong communication skills effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.Time management & organization.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAccounting/Auditing and FinanceIndustriesTransportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage and Consumer Services
