Finance Manager Location- Blantyre(Malawi) The incumbent will be responsible to ensure that the financial strategy, policies, processes, and budgets support the overall strategic direction of the business.Comply with regulatory and statutory reporting requirements and governance frameworks.Comply with Group Reporting requirementsComply with Group policies and proceduresEnsure timeous submission and analysis of required financial information and reports e.g.
financial, management and statutory reports. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or equivalentIn-depth knowledge of financial policies, procedures, and processesSound knowledge of the regulatory, statutory and compliance frameworks affecting area of responsibility Transactional: Control of transactions and segregation of duties on Syspro.Managing data integrityEnsures completeness and balancing of transaction and within acceptable accounting principles.ReceivablesCashbooksPayablesInventoryGeneral Legger Control Environment: Systems and procedures are in place and being adhered to in line with internal control matrix per groups requirement and delegation of authority. Audits & Reporting: Handling of audits: Tax audits, internal audits, and external auditsWorking Capital Reports, statutory reports and generate reports to run operations. Expense Management: Comparisons of what was budgeted and actual expenses.Budgeting: Responsible for the expense budget and final build up for the budget.
Balanced with balance sheet. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERTISE REQUIRED: CA / CIMA or equivalent qualification, 8-10 years relevant financial experience, of which a minimum of 3 years on a management level COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & CHARACTERISTICS) Sound knowledge of SYSPRO or SAP systems (ERP systems in general)Advanced business report writing skills.Proficient in MS Office suitePresentation skillsBusiness risk management skillsBusiness what is this about?Planning and strategy developmentPlanning and strategy development
