Finance Manager - Operations

Job Description
The role of the Finance Manager will include overall oversight of the finance operations (funds, collections and data reporting) for SAVM, management reporting for SAVM and performance of actuarial analyst services to SAVM.
Position Overview
Specific Role Responsibilities

Financial reporting and analysis
Sales reporting, forecasting and revenue recognition
Actuarial data development and support
Assist in pricing
Joint venture reporting, analysis and data management
Actuarial reporting
Other traditional actuarial support
Ad hoc analysis and projects

Qualifications and Experience

BCom or Actuarial Science degree
4 - 5 years' corporate work experience
General accounting knowledge including basic IFRS
Data analysis and forecasting

Skills and Personal Attributes

Strong reporting and communication skills
Basic product development skills
Proficient in SQL and Excel (advanced – must be able to comfortably use both programs)
Candidates without SQL knowledge, but proficient in either R, Python or VBA will be considered
Insurance/Short Term Industry experience preferable
