A leader in the manufacturing, security and protection space requires the assistance of a seasoned Finance Manager with the ability to provide strong financial leadership. Responsible for planning the regional budget, business planning and day to day management of of the Accounting operations. Responsibilities: Consult and educate on complex financial and operational matters to all department leaders Liaise with General Manager and Senior Management explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations Manage the accounting daily activities, ensure control is in place, manage team performance and developmentManage accounting operations Billing, A/R, A/P, G/L, Inventory/Cost Accounting and Revenue RecognitionLead month-end closing, prepare monthly financial statements and operational reports Analyse variances (Material/Labour/Overheads) and communicate explanations to management with proposed actionsCalculate Activity Based Costing, Standard Costing and PricingPrepare forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows for the regionWork across organisation boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve regional and corporate objectives Trains new staff and existing staff Share best practices across global finance/plant controller, i.e. process improvements, financial modelling and procedure changesImplement and maintain plant internal controls necessary to ensure reporting integrityResponsible for working capital management, cash forecasting and liaising with suppliers and customers to improve working capital management, cash collections, stretched payments etc.Lead year end Audit activitiesRequirements: CA (SA) / Professionally Registered Accountant / CIMA with completed articles10 years experience in a multinational organisation Financial Manager / Finance Controller within the manufacturing environmentMS Office and ORACLE/SAGE/IFS financial software skills, experience with OneStream and Power BI systemsExcellent financial control and reporting skills and ensuring that all statutory and corporate obligations are metEffectively communicate with management, public groups, colleaguesExcellent communication skills, internally and with clientsAbility to build relationships with colleagues, clients and staff in chargePlease note that if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of your application, please consider it as unsuccessful for this particular role.
