Minimum requirements: Job Purpose: Manage the finance department, managing all financial matters such as internal and external reporting, and collaborating with international financial teams and follow directives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Management: - Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting (annual and quarterly), and financial reporting in conjunction with the MD. - Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards. - Manage financial risks and develop strategies for financial growth and stability. - Coordinate audits and ensure timely and accurate financial statements. - Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors. - Collaborating with international financial teams and follow directives. - Any other financial functions that occur in a multinational company. 2. Strategic Planning and Business Development: - Play a key role in the strategic planning process, developing and implementing business strategies for the Sub-Sahara region along with the MD. - Assist in identifying possible new business opportunities to drive growth and profitability. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and business partners. 3. Team Leadership: - Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and operations teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. - Manage performance and provide regular feedback to team members. - Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all departments. 4. Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Management: - Develop, negotiate, and manage SLAs with business partners in conjunction with the MD. - Monitor and ensure compliance with all SLAs, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly. Key Competencies: 1. Financial Acumen: - Strong understanding of financial principles and practices. - Ability to interpret and analyse financial statements and reports. - Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning full function. Qualifications and Experience: - Relevant Finance Qualification (e.g., Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CFA certification preferred). - Exposure to Global Brands and understanding of international business practices. - Proven experience in leading and managing finance and operations teams. - Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards. - Experience in strategic planning and business development.
