This opportunity is for a detail-oriented professional to manage key financial processes and reporting.
This role involves ownership of process mapping, revenue analysis, financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements.Key Responsibilities:Process Mapping:Oversee the Record to Report and Contract to Cash processes.Revenue and Accounts Receivable:Review and analyze project management data for revenue recognition and forecasting weekly.Develop reporting analytics and report weekly revenue and gross margin variances to the Financial Director (FD) and Executive Committee (Exco).Manage the invoicing process and address customer invoice queries.Oversee collections for outstanding invoices and cash flow forecasting, presenting findings to the FD.Support Account Directors with client onboarding as needed.Monthly Financial Reporting:Review and submit payroll costs and related journals to the FD on time.Reconcile balance sheet accounts and submit for FD approval.Prepare sections of monthly management accounts, investigating significant variances as directed by the FD for timely submission to Group.Statutory and Tax Compliance:Maintain a compliance calendar to communicate deadlines.Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns for FD approval.Conduct bi-annual transfer pricing calculations and ensure accurate recording of these transactions.Prepare bi-annual income tax returns for SA and USA, ensuring timely submission and payment.Liaise with auditors and advisors for compliance submissions in both SA and the USAAd Hoc Tasks:Assist the FD with contract reviews for major customers and vendors.Identify and address deviations from established controls and processes.Propose improvements to enhance financial information integrity.Advise and support Heads of Departments (HODS) on control enhancements.Stay updated on new legislation and regulations impacting payroll and reporting requirements in SA and the USA through partnerships.Qualifications:B Com Accounting Degree and completion of articles (CA would be advantageous)5-6 years experience in financial and management accounting in a corporate environment; multi-currency and consulting (business services)ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar)Experience with group reporting; international tax compliance experience is advantageousExperience managing a small finance teamStrong analytical and reporting skillsExcellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilitiesProficient in financial software and toolsAbility to handle conflict and work under pressureAffinity for people
