A South African based equipment manufacturer with an international client footprint is looking to employ a mid to senior level Finance Manager in Westlake, Southern Suburbs, Cape Town on a permanent basis. They are seeking an energetic Financial Manager to perform effective risk management and plan the organization's financial strategy. This role is critical, as an organization can only thrive if it actively investigates and safeguards its finances.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all aspects of financial management, from simple accounting to broad operational decision making. As the Financial Manager, you'll lead and play a key role in providing commercial insight, achieving financial control, ensuring revenue growth and profitability.
Responsibilities: Financial Planning: Drive the financial strategy and planning of the company by analyzing performance and risks.Awareness: Maintain constant awareness of the company's financial position and proactively address any issues.Cash Management: Manage cash flow requirements for operations.IT Systems: Set up and oversee the company's finance IT system.Team Supervision: Set targets for and supervise accounting and procurement personnel.Audit and Internal Control: Oversee the audit and internal control procedures.Relationships: Manage relationships with partners, suppliers, customer and investors.Reporting: Prepare timely and detailed financial performance reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.Budgeting and Forecasting: Conduct analysis to make budgets and forecasts and report this toCompliance: Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines as well as tax compliance and company policies.Operations Management: Assist with HR procedures and supervise procurement, warehousing and health & safetyRequirements and Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related fieldCA qualification will be highly desirable, but not essential.Proven experience as a Finance Officer, Senior Financial Manager or CFO.Thorough knowledge of financial law and risk management practices.Excellent data analysis and forecasting skills.Proficiency in MS Office, Xero and financial management.Strategic problem-solving abilities.Strong leadership and organizational skills.Excellent communication and people skills.Analytical mindset, comfortable with numbers.Salary: R50,000 to R70,000 / month, negotiable and dependant in skills and experience.
