We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Manager to manage our global consolidated management accounts and assist with global payroll. You will be assisting the Senior Finance Manager with the statutory requirements of our SA companies as well as management of our global financial operations.To ensure success as a Finance Manager you should possess strong knowledge of payroll and accounting practices, with the ability to use your technical knowledge to recommend processes and procedures.The successful incumbent will be someone who can withstand the pressure surrounding accounting and payroll deadlines, who possess meticulous attention to detail and someone who can take initiative.What you will doPayrollOnboarding employees as well as maintaining and updating payroll records.Assist in answering employees' questions regarding payroll-related matters.Responsible for timeous and accurate payroll processing, reporting and reconciliations.Ensuring that all payroll statutory submissions are completed timeously (PAYE, UIF, SDL).Processing all monthly SARS payments on E-filing.Preparing monthly EMP201.Reconciling and submission of EMP501 at tax year end.Distributing IRP5's at tax year end.Issuing of payslips.Assisting the Senior Finance Manager with the global payroll.FinancePreparing VAT reconciliations and submissions to SARS.Managing statutory requirements for SA including CIPC submissions, compensation commissioner returns etc.Assisting with month-end closing processes including general ledger reconciliation, intercompany charges and consolidated management accounts.Preparing financial reports with commentary and analysis when required for the Senior Finance Manager.Assisting the Senior Finance Manager with budgets and identifying variances with explanatory narratives.Updating the project management software and understanding the project finances for analysis purposes.Bookkeeping tasks such as reconciling bank accounts, accounts payable and accounts receivable overview.Providing general assistance to the Senior Finance Manager.What we are looking forA minimum of ten years' experience in a senior finance role including payroll.Solid knowledge of payroll principles, processes and procedures.Solid understanding of local tax legislation and practices.Adequate knowledge of bookkeeping practices and accounting standards.Competent using Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Strong problem-solving skills with excellent numeracy skills, accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.Good time management and organisational skills.Ability and adaptable when working under pressure and meeting deadlines.Able to maintain confidentiality, tact, and discretion at all times.NB: The successful candidate will be subject to employment and financial screening.
