The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, experience in the petroleum industry, and a proactive approach to financial management.Responsibilities:Manage the accounting and financial reporting for petroleum import transactions.Monitor and reconcile import-related accounts, including payments, receivables, and payables.Coordinate with suppliers, shipping companies, and customs agencies to ensure smooth importation processes.Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts related to petroleum imports.Conduct cost analysis and financial modeling to optimize importation strategies and pricing.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for petroleum imports.Collaborate with internal teams, such as procurement and logistics, to streamline import operations and minimize costs.Perform periodic audits and financial reviews to identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation.Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making related to importation strategies and investments.Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting petroleum imports.Key Skills:Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.Strong understanding of importation processes, customs regulations, and financial aspects of petroleum trading.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.Knowledge of international accounting standards and practices.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the petroleum or energy sector.
