Main Purpose of the role: The primary focus of the Finance Manager is to manage and take full ownership of the assigned legal entities from an operational, audit, tax and compliance perspective.
The role also supports the Senior Finance Manager in executing various financial accounting aspects of the Group entities which are multi-currency and domiciled in multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities: Manage Accounts Payable and AccrualsVerify invoicesReview expense claims, credit card reconciliations and creditors reconciliationsCode and allocate invoices per chart of account and capture entries in the accounting system (Microsoft Dynamics) for reviewCapture payments made and reconciled creditors age analysis, ensuring creditors paid per payment termsMaintain creditors databaseAssist in preparing expense reports for monthly reportingMaintain records of creditors invoices and other supporting information for audit and tax purposesManage Sundry DebtorsPrepare sundry debtor recovery invoices for reviewBanking & TreasuryPrepare bank payments, including international paymentsReconcile bank accounts (USD, EUR, ZAR, SGD, COP)Journal EntriesPrepare and post entries for Bank, Debtors, Creditors, and general journalsMaintain records for audit and tax purposesOperations support and reportingAssist with the internal and external auditAssist with business planning and forecastingVAT/Corporate Tax/Withholding taxAssist with preparation of VAT returnsMaintain fixed asset registers and IFRS16 lease calculationsAuditPrepare monthly management accounts and annual audit pack for the Namibian Investor and Group holding companyEnsure supporting documentation readily available for auditPrepare reporting packs, annual integrated report and annual financial statements in terms of IFRSAssist with Namibian (Investor 3) Group auditAssist team with special ad-hoc reporting requirements and requests Qualification and Experience required: Qualified CA(SA) Minimum 3-4 years' post-article experience gained ideally within the Financial Services / Investment / Asset Management / Renewable Energy / Global Consulting / Multi-National context would be highly advantageous!Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) with the ability to generate financial reports in Excel via different data sourcesProven people management experienceStrong knowledge of complex accounting standards (IFRS 9)Strong knowledge of accounting systems (particularly Microsoft Dynamics)Experience in a multicurrency environmentExcellent report-writing and communication skills Please email an updated copy of your CV to Nicole Spamers:
