Finance Manager - Botswana Relocation

A conservation-driven safari company is currently seeking an analytical and operational Financial Manager to join their team in Maun, Botswana.The company is rapidly expanding and currently has over 20 camps and lodges across Southern Africa. They aspire to become a world-leading business that truly honours the natural habitats and offers unique experiences that inspire a deep love and commitment to Africa's wild landscapes.This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the financial and operational landscape, contributing significantly to the company's operations in Botswana and its growth trajectory. As the Financial Manager, you will oversee the financial function and provide accurate reporting to the executive, board, shareholders, partners and other relevant stakeholders. You will manage a team that does end-to-end accounting for multiple lodge operating companies.RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare and review management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations, explain budget variances and maintain complex accounting.Oversee audits as well as prepare and review financial statements.Develop budgets and ensure compliance with CAPEX and operational budgets. Further, prepare 6+6 financial forecasts.Manage tax calculations, including local taxes.Analyse cashflow plans and work with the Treasury to maintain sufficient cashflow.Prepare Board and Shareholder reporting.Act as the liaison between Finance and Operations, supporting strategic and operational decision-making.Assist in procurement management and manage supplier relationships.Manage a team of accountants and oversee staff KPIs.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:A minimum of an Honours Degree in Finance or Accounting is required.CA(SA) qualification or equivalent is preferred. (i.e. ACCA, CGMA/ACMA)At least 3 years of experience working as a Financial Manager or similar position.Proven track record in balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow management and management accounts.Highly skilled at Excel.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and liaise with internal/external stakeholders.SALARY:Cost to Company Per Annum: R 600 000 - R 800 000
