Key focus on Balance Sheet Management and driving Data strategy and key initiatives to assist in achieving the business outcomes of NAR subsidiaries to attain key performance metrics.Job ResponsibilitiesTranslate the Nedbank and Business Unit strategy into a customised divisional strategyDevelop and drive the NAR Data StrategyActively drive key Balance sheet performance metrics including Strategic portfolio Tilt and Margin ManagementOversee Liquidity, Interest rate, Capital and Market Risk in the subsidiariesEnsure Governance and Compliance in relation to Balance Sheet management and ALCO processes in subsidiariesProject manage Key initiatives to improve and streamline Finance, Credit and Data processes to improve effectiveness within Finance, BSM, Credit and DataProvide stakeholder support and technical expertiseEncourage inter- and intra-Cluster collaborationProvide external stakeholders formal and informal knowledge sharing and feedbackDevelop and introduce a people strategy that will create a culture that drives the Cluster and Nedbank's vision and valuesManage resources, retention and critical staff. Ensure that leadership-relevant strategies and plans have been communicated and implemented by direct reportsEstablish and operate a system of internal financial controlsAnalyse financial impact of strategic objectives by evaluating financial activitiesConduct research and benchmark best practices, legislation and industry standardsBuild operating processes and financial models to be used for scenario planning and opportunity evaluationCompile, evaluate and recommend changes to three-year plans which are aligned to strategyProvide financial and management reports to relevant stakeholders, adhering to quality standards regarding information and schedulesTrack and report performance per timelines and take corrective action as requiredPlan financial management strategyReview and make recommendations to improve Nedbank group's financial management policies and proceduresAlign financial and business decisions to group strategic objectivesManage compliance to legislative and regulatory requirements by formulating policies and procedures, issuing guidelines, interpreting legislation and forecasting changesIdentify improvement opportunities and review and provide guidance and support to executive management teamsResearch and implement global best practicesOversee data governance and compliance in the subsidiariesProvide analytics to support business decision makingAttendance of Subsidiary and Group ALCO meetingsMinimum Experience LevelUp to 8 years financial management in financial services sector and >5 years managing others.
