Voadera is seeking a Financial Controller who will be instrumental in driving financial excellence, operational efficiency, and compliance across our organization.
As Controller, you will have a dynamic role, overseeing accurate financial management and guiding Voadera's financial strategy to support our growth.
This position goes beyond traditional finance functions; it's about leading financial innovation and leveraging cutting-edge automation systems and ERP/data warehouse technologies to streamline processes and improve data insights across the company, including the following:   Financial Leadership: Ensure precise, timely financial reporting, optimize cash flow, and lead budget and forecast management to empower Voadera's long-term growth.
Process Improvement & Automation: Drive the implementation of automation initiatives, using ERP and data warehousing to elevate operational efficiency and data transparency.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Develop and execute compliance strategies, conduct audits, and design risk mitigation tactics to protect and strengthen our financial health.
Strategic Financial Guidance: Provide proactive financial advice, conduct cost analyses to maximize profitability, and collaborate across departments to champion growth initiatives.
Team Development: Inspire and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and innovation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow statements, and provide recommendations for improving liquidity and managing working capital effectively.
Provide financial guidance, including cost analysis, to identify areas for improvement and increase profitability.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss, balance sheet systems along with other reports via our ERP system.  Develop and implement financial forecasting models and conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with forecasts and budgets.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding financial and accounting practices.
Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards and implement necessary changes.
Conduct financial audits to reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy.
Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies and internal controls.
Implement and continuously improve automation systems and processes, ensuring efficient use of data warehouse and ERP.
Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, providing mentorship and training.  Communicate effectively with different departments to ensure smooth inventory and finance operations.
Collaborate with the purchasing department to optimize product profitability and explore growth avenues.
Coordinate inventory reporting of receipt and consumption activities via Business Central, Amazon, Walmart, and Grade B Subledgers.
Ensure accurate inventory valuations and inventory reserve calculations.
Manage payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.
Ensure accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices and credit cards.
Lead or participate in M&A activities, evaluating potential acquisitions and ensuring financial due diligence.
Maintain meticulous bookkeeping records to provide transparency and comfort to partners.
Results : Streamlined financial reporting process that delivers accurate and timely financial statements, contributing to better decision-making and strategic planning.  Effective cash flow management strategies that improve liquidity, optimize working capital, and support the company's growth initiatives.
Identify and implement cost-saving measures, enhance profitability through thorough cost analysis, and provide strategic financial insights to drive revenue growth.
Successful deployment and continuous optimization of the ERP system and data warehouse to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements Job Requirements: Educational and Professional Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or CMA designation preferred.
3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on e-commerce or retail industries preferred.
Proven experience in tax compliance, IRS regulations, financial statement preparation, and cash flow management.
Proven track record in developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a high-performing finance team.
Experience in preparing for and managing external audits, ensuring all financial statements and records are accurate and compliant.
Strong ERP experience, preferably with Odoo.
SQL and Data Warehouse experience.
Familiarity with inventory subledgers and perpetual inventory systems.
Ability to create and analyze complex financial models to support strategic decision-making.
Experience with e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Walmart.
Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
