Job Overview Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Finance Clerk / Junior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role is key in supporting the financial management of their business operations.
Key Responsibilities Compile and record journals for specific entities within the group.Assist the Financial Manager with financial administrative tasks.Accurately capture and manage debtors and creditors.Perform inter-company reconciliations and billing.Process and approve sales invoices to customers and from farms.Ensure timely and accurate reviews and financial activity captures.Allocate payments correctly and on time.Load bank payments accurately and within deadlines.Prepare and manage cash flows.Handle monthly statement reconciliations, intercompany confirmations, and loan confirmations.Review VAT entries prior to submission to the Financial Manager.Assist in annual budget planning with the Financial Manager.Provide timely financial reports to the Financial Manager.Maintain accurate records on all financial information platforms, including Xero.Support general office administration tasks.Assist managers with operational office admin.Liaise with suppliers to coordinate office orders as required.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or related field.Proven experience in finance, preferably within the agricultural sector.Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.Proficiency in financial software such as Xero.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Experience in agricultural or farm-related financial administration is advantageous.
