Finance Business Partner

Unifi is a fast-growing finance and technology company operating in Zambia, South Africa, Uganda, and Kenya. Unifi delivers personal lending products through online, mobile phone, and branch channels. The company is well supported by strong shareholders and a board of directors with vast experience in entrepreneurship and lending.
Unifi is seeking a dynamic addition to its group finance team to enhance and strengthen financial structures. This role involves both designing and executing finance-related projects, as well as overseeing the group treasury function.
The ideal candidate will combine strong financial expertise with entrepreneurial drive, possess excellent analytical skills, and have a passion for African business. A sense of adventure and a good sense of humor are also valuable traits for success in this role.
To design and implement projects that enhance the finance department's ability to effectively support the organization, its internal operations, and its clients. This includes developing, building, and maintaining a robust group treasury function. The role requires a passion for Africa and a commitment to working within a developing world context.
ResponsibilitiesGain a comprehensive understanding of the overall business landscape.Conceptualize, design, and deliver financial projects with efficiency.Enhance and document the financial control framework.Develop detailed cash flow forecasting models.Oversee liquidity management across the entire group.Engage proactively with lenders, providing covenant and business case reporting.Review and assess legal agreements.Lead corporate finance and tax structuring initiatives.RequirementsChartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with 5-7 years of post-articles experience.Experience in corporate treasury or finance is advantageous.Willingness and flexibility to travel occasionally.
