Vacancy NameFinance Business PartnerVacancy NoVN942Contract TypeEFTLocationCape TownDescriptionOVERALL OBJECTIVEThe Finance Business Partner (FBP) is responsible for supporting multiple business lines including Corporate Services, Legal and Tax Advisory, Private Market Advisory, Group Facilities, and Group IT. The FBP works closely with the management of each of these areas to help them achieve their financial and strategic objectives through the provision of value-add management information and insight into financial performance.KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPSThis FBP role will report to the Senior Finance Business Partner in the Cape Town office. The role requires close engagement with the Heads of Corporate Services, Legal and Tax Advisory, Group IT, and the Family Office division COO, as well as department heads and client relationship managers across multiple jurisdictions.Key ResponsibilitiesPRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare monthly financial and operational MI for each business unit and local office, including financial performance, revenues, and expenses.Present results each month to the Heads of each business unit and to individual department heads.Prepare additional periodic and ad-hoc reporting as required by each business area.Provide information and commentary on the division's financial performance and KPIs to the FP&A team.Identify opportunities to improve operating processes, increase revenue, and reduce costs.Work with the Finance Systems and MI team to develop profitability measurement of clients.Enhance tracking and reporting of project spend and capital expenditure.Participate in regular reviews of client and RM profitability.Prepare annual budgets and business plans for each area.Collaborate with FP&A and Finance Systems and MI teams for efficient re-forecasting and projections.SKILLS, BEHAVIOURS AND COMPETENCIESSelf-starter with high energy and ability to multi-task.Confidence to interact with and challenge all levels of management.Honesty and integrity.Excellent attention to detail.Commercially minded with ability to interpret data.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong PowerPoint presentation skills.Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling.Experience using analytical tools such as Power BI or similar.Keen interest in investment, family office, and wealth management industries.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEProfessional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred.5+ years' experience in similar roles demonstrating increasing responsibility.Previous experience within the Financial Services or Family Office industries is strongly preferred.Education LevelDegree or EquivalentExperience LevelSeniorBenefits
