Job title : Finance Automation and Data Engineer Job Location : Western Cape, Cape Town Deadline : December 11, 2024 Quick Recommended Links Jobs by Location Job by industries What you'll do Own and implement the Finance Automation and Tech roadmap by evaluating and prioritizing new automation and data initiatives, working closely with the finance team to build a best-in-class function Act as the primary finance liaison to technical teams (Data, RevOps, Product & Development), ensuring seamless collaboration and integration Develop and implement scalable, efficient financial processes, leveraging technology and industry best practices Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, driving informed decision-making and alignment across teams Develop and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure to ensure the accessibility and accuracy of financial data for analysis and process optimization within the finance function Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company-wide initiatives and ensure alignment with finance objectives Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvements within the finance team What you'll need to succeed Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Technical Business Analyst or similar role, with a track record of driving process improvements and delivering automation solutions Hands-on experience in designing and implementing custom integrations, workflows, API connections, and dashboards to automate financial processes.
Experience with Netsuite or similar ERP systems is a plus Strong SQL skills, with experience building and maintaining complex queries and databases and developing custom forms or dashboards to streamline data management and reporting Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and synthesize complex data to support decision-making and optimize operations Demonstrated ability to lead projects from initiation to completion, managing multiple priorities in a structured manner A genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for automation, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing system improvements Solid English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different teams, including technical and non-technical functions Proven problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to resolving issues and delivering practical solutions Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on quality and detail ICT jobs
