IntroductionTo ensure timeous payment of landlord, managing agent and municipal accounts, avoid penalties and engage with external parties regarding property expenses which are not aligned to the Lease Agreement.
To ensure accurately aged reconciliations are prepared to achieve timeous follow up of overdue items and resolution thereof.
ResponsibilitiesUpdate Oracle Properties system to produce payments for Rentals, Electricity, Municipal Utilities and Rates, etc.Record balances and ageing as per landlord/managing agent statements.Resolve outstanding reconciling items and action outstanding entries.Perform age analysis by landlord/managing agent and drive clearing thereof.Check remittances and attach supporting documentation to send to landlords/managing agents.Perform Rates calculations.Perform Rental and Interim Rental Calculations.Process invoices and ensure payment thereof.Ensure that master data for new and amended supplier accounts are accurate.Escalate issues and communicate to the Accountant/Manager any non-adherence to procedures and controls.Administer, follow-up and resolve queries.Manage the CA incident logged and adhere to the SLA agreement.Ensure that all documents are kept in line with WW policy and legal requirements and properly filed and/or timeously sent for archiving.Identify and communicate any bottlenecks and late documentation.Deliver high performance consistently.Build and maintain a good relationship with customers and the rest of the team.Full adherence to Woolworth's financial policies and all accepted accounting practices.Minimum RequirementsDiploma in Accounting (12 month/intermediate stage or equivalent).Sound understanding of Accounting Systems (Oracle would be advantageous).High problem-solving ability.Strong numeric ability.Minimum of 3-5 years reconciliation experience required.Minimum of 1 year Properties experience advantageous.
