Our leading FMCG client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a dynamic hands on Financial Manager Qualifications: Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (BCom Accounting) Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Financial Manager, preferably in a manufacturing environment. This role encompasses both financial and administrative responsibilities, requiring hands-on involvement in reconciliations, project management, and anomaly investigation. Profile: The ideal candidate thrives in challenging environments and is highly efficient with a keen eye for detail. They should demonstrate the ability to perform tasks with precision and excellence. Responsibilities: Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports. Generate financial reports comparing actual expenditure against forecasts within agreed timelines. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls as needed. Compile annual financial reports and statements within set deadlines. Ensure timely payments to third parties, such as SARS, Provident Fund, and Medical Aid Providers. Lead tax planning efforts, including managing VAT-related matters. Maintain compliance with all local tax and benefits registrations and requirements, ensuring timely submission of payments and reports to SARS. Ensure adherence to all statutory requirements related to financial control, management, and accounting. Oversee external audit arrangements and manage the audit process. Ensure timely and accurate production of all balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, debtors, creditors, and inter-company accounts. Implement and ensure adherence to finance policies, procedures, and systems across all teams. Core Competencies: Proven experience in preparing and finalizing accounts in line with current South African regulations. Expertise in strategic and financial planning. Skilled in budget preparation and financial reporting. Proficiency in goods and services procurement processes. Highly numerate with the ability to analyze statistical information and interpret financial data. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in computer literacy, particularly in advanced Excel skills and financial software packages (ABACA). Location: City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality, South Africa
