This position reports to the Finance Team Lead Your specific responsibilities will include: Match supplier invoices with goods received notes Capture supplier invoices (non-EDI vendors)Manage and rectify invoice exceptions on AS2Request and review month end statements from suppliers accurately and timelyAssist with monthly assigned account reconciliations and submit for paymentAssist with suppliers being paid at correct price and for correct quantities receivedAssist with management of supplier age analysis and payment termsSend remittance advice to suppliersResolve payment/account queries with suppliersCommunicate intake variances with warehouse/retail staff membersFollow up with suppliers on credit notes for returns and other discountsAssist with maintaining a clean set of Accounts Payable reconciliations Ensure proper filing system is maintainedAssist with ad-hoc task as required by accounting team Attributes required: Execute the workflow according to set priorities and deadlinesOrganizing and prioritizing of taskAttention to detail and accuracyMust have excellent communication skills and be fluent in EnglishAbility to work independently but also be a team playerMust be computer literate in MS Excel packages Qualifications and Experience: Minimum Diploma or equivalent degreeProficiency Microsoft Excel2-3 years experience in an Accounts Payable / Finance environment The Environment: takealot.com employees are entrepreneurial and dynamic, smart, customer-centric, fun and have the shared ambition of takealot.com being the leading e-commerce company in Africa.We have fun, work hard, take ownership, work in teams to create solutions, and are always open to direct feedback/new ideas on where we can improveWe are short on ego and high on outputWe are doers and not only thinkers, it's all in the execution after allWe love what we do and what we are creating We seek to Employ an Extra Ordinary Mind who:
