As Field-Testing Lead, you will be responsible for the overall coordination of the Seed Product Development testing team for all field-testing efforts assigned to the research center including dry west, water tables and irrigation locations for all crops and all testing types and act as a key contact for these activities. This role will require the Field-Testing Lead to assist with planting, drone operation or phenotyping activities as required. As the Field-Testing Lead, you will also be responsible for the development and elaboration of the field-testing budget and routine budget reviews. This role will be accountable for planning of each season, forecast of resource needs and conducting process reviews with all teams during and after completion. Success in the position will depend on the ability to effectively develop and execute the field-testing blueprint, forecast testing budget and resource needs to support the testing activities.
You Will Be Part of Growing Team The Research and Development team is responsible for designing, developing, and executing the Corteva Agriscience research programs which advance genetic gain and develop seed products to bring to market. The team you will be working with supports the dry west, water tables and irrigation locations.
Accountable for logistics, planning testing trials, and the executions thereofEnsures that all operational practices are agronomically soundBuilds and maintains a healthy relationship with Co-operatorsAnalyze and document field operations (Planned vs Actual)Administrative leadership of the testing teamsMonitor and manage capacity constraints, equipment problems, labor scheduling, etc. to ensure research goals are metCoach, support, and develop employees on the team in a manner that fosters effective collaboration and teamwork, demonstrating and modeling the Core ValuesProvide oversight of and monitor quality levels through all stages of testingPromote a culture that demonstrates Core Values while generating high-quality resultsCaptures relevant information to track the effectiveness of the processCaptures relevant information to track any improvements in the processWill be responsible for safety standards and the safety of the team, ensuring trainings are done and up to date.Key Stakeholders and Interactions: Working within the Agronomy team and supporting your regional Sales Representatives, Area Manager and the customers, requires not only being technically skilled, but also the ability to forge relationships and communicate effectively. These are critical skills for the job.
