ROLE PURPOSE
Maintaining the Site Maintenance on Vodacom sites as per the required Scope of Work as specified by the Customer. Drive planned preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance on infrastructure such as Air-Conditioning, Electrical plant and general infrastructure to give effect to maximum network availability and site uptime and client service standards. Providing technical support to Regional Managers, Portfolio Managers/Junior Portfolio Managers.
MAIN OUTPUTS Maintain Vodacom sites according to the standard Vodacom contractual Scope of Work and any instructions/standards provided.Ensure that site defects and faults are corrected within the prescribed 24h / 48h Service Level Agreement. The Vandalism Technician must ensure Tools, Vehicles, Test Equipment, Laptops, and Cellphones are looked after and checked for proper condition and ensure all of these are safe for use and maintained on a register.The Vandalism Technician must ensure he/she complies with and adheres to the Health and Safety requirements of Bidvest FM and the Client's requirements as applicable on the site and while travelling.To ensure that all access procedures as well as work status updates are done in accordance with the agreed procedures and processes.Adhering to quality requirements as stipulated by scope of work.Managing assistant daily to ensure optimal performance of the team, report any deviances to management.Identifying where site enhancements are due and obtaining authorization to proceed.Adhering to instructions given by County Lead, Regional Manager and other management.Ensure that your e-mail address and company phone is always operational. The Vandalism technician will always answer his phone when on duty, and return calls as soon as possible when not on duty.Report any unsafe work situations to management.The Vandalism Scope of Work is mainly, but not limited to, the following activities:Repair and restore damaged physical infrastructure like fencing, gates, equipment shelters and related items;Repair and restore damaged indoor/outdoor cameras and alarm sensors (including configuration of IP addresses etc);Fault finding on DC electrical circuitry and resolution of such faults;Restore site operation in the shortest possible time, even by temporary means;Ensure site is fully secured before leaving the site, including clearing all alarms (except for pre-existing non-Vandalism alarms not related to the specific incident being attended);Computer literacy to the extent of using software to access and configure equipment, access and process tasks in IFM/WFM or whichever other software platform the Customer uses, as well as a basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications. REQUIREMENTS National N3 Electrical Engineering Trade Theory (or equivalent / similar)Electrical Trade Test (Red Seal) preferableMatric/Grade 12Valid B (code 08) or EB (code 08 + towing 750kg) Driver's License (4x4 and advanced driving is an advantage)3-5 Years Vandalism (Corrective Maintenance) / PPM (Preventative Maintenance) Experience in the Cellular or Fixed Telecommunications Network Environment.
