Job OverviewThe position will be based on the Independent Account and the incumbent will report to the Field Service Supervisor. Customer support on all machine related issues.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesCustomer support on all machine related issues.Attend to maintenance and production activities.Conduct daily pre-maintenance and inspections as per prescribed customer request.Demonstrate operational and maintenance procedures.Conduct investigation of any problem on a machine.Gather intelligence on JOY equipment and business activities.Drive productivity improvement and quality performance.Uphold safety standards and good housekeeping.Promote continuous improvement by identifying and facilitating the implementation of new ideas, processes and/or methods.Team mentality - working as part of a bigger team towards achieving common goals and understanding of the effects of sound engineering discipline on the KMC business.Understand and fabricate as per approved OEM drawings.Qualifications/RequirementsGrade 12 / N3.Fully qualified Electrician / Millwright with Flameproof and Gas Testing certificates.Experience in the underground mining industry environment.Joy relevant courses will be an added advantage.Must be computer and database literate (MS Access, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).JNA I and JNA II and VFD experience is crucial.DC & AC shuttle cars experience will be an advantage.Minimum of 03 to 05 years' experience on Joy underground equipment.Maintenance experience on JOY machines.Knowledge of JOY equipment will be advantageous FB1.0/FB2.0/Shuttle cars.Experience in workshop assembly and manufacturing techniques will be beneficial.Strong interpersonal skills are essential with an ability to communicate with customers and to accept and adopt a competent, responsible attitude.Additional InformationSelf-motivated individual.Willing and able to work alone and in teams.Must have own reliable transport and valid driver's license.Must be able to obtain a medical clearance.
