Field Service It Technician

Prospecton and surrounds. Well-established company in the ICT sector seeks a Field Service IT Technician to join their KZN based team. A technical qualification or Diploma in IT or a related field with 2-4 years of experience in AV / VC systems is required.
Position entails occasional callouts to various client sites to perform installations, configurations, and technical support, while the majority of the time will be spent as an on-site resource. Responsibilities will include:
Daily AV equipment checksAssist with equipment setup, testing, and standby supportProvide remote support, telephonic assistance, and on-site visits as neededProvide training on the use of AV equipment and systems to end-users and clientsIncident reporting and troubleshootingPreventative maintenance and equipment careInstall, configure, and troubleshoot AV / VC systems both onsite and remotelyConduct site surveys to assess needs for new installations and upgradesDiagnose and resolve advanced technical issues related to AV systemsManage inventory for necessary parts and equipment requiredRequirements: MatricTechnical certification or Diploma in Electronics, IT or related field2-4 years experience in AV / VC systems, specifically in field service, installations, and troubleshootingSolid knowledge of Audio Visual systems and technologies, including installation, wiring, cable termination, and adherence to best practice standardsExperience with video routing, switching, and conferencing endpoints (Crestron, Polycom, Avaya)Basic room control experience and familiarity with DSP programming (advantageous)Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsValid driver's license with own vehicle - travel to client sites
