Field Service Engineer, Western Cape - Medical Diagnostic And Life-Science

Minimum requirements for the role:An electrical or electronic related diploma or degree is essential for this role.Must have good computer skills specifically Ms Office essential and previous experience with sales force or similar CRM Software.Previous experience having worked as a Field Service Technician within the clinical diagnostic field, or related markets is preferred however the company will consider a junior person to be trained up for the role.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Carrying out medical instrument post-sales technical support activities including installation, de-installation and routine maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specification at customer sites.Ensuring that quality technical service is provided to all customers, in the quickest possible turnaround time.Supporting the team with customers on site and in-house repairs as well as installations, maintenance and operator training.Supporting applications specialists with customer training on all technical aspects of instruments as well as supporting business areas with relevant instrument knowledge and specifications.Adhering to client service level agreement deliverables and department planning and activities roster.Ensuring adherence to relevant instrument's manufacturing standards for maintenance, installation and upgrading plans according to customer needs.Completing relevant administration within set timelines, including electronic field (case) service reports, expense reports and boot/car stock (spare parts) reconciliations against monthly reports.Maintaining high levels of customer engagement throughout visits with regular updates and feedback to customers.Escalating complex instrument technical queries, challenges or software and hardware upgrades to relevant personnel in accordance with procedures for swift resolution.Working closely and building relationship with the sales team and service department.Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
