Job title : Field Sales Representative Division/Department: Sales and Marketing Reports to: Region Customer Manager Overall Responsibility: Responsible for achieving maximum sales growth over set targets as well as ensuring shelf health objectives are achieved within an assigned territory through effective selling of the Joya product mix.
General Responsibilities: Deliver on territory target with volume being the key objective Deliver on shelf health with 60/50/10 objectives aligned to perfect store guidelines POS placements are achieved within set timelines Train agent merchandisers around flows and stock availability Ensure that key customers within the allocated region are called on as per call cycles.
Resolve store level customer complaints.
Keep line manager informed by submitting all required reports, weekly, monthly.
Shelf Health/Sales Volume Achievement: See ALL customers as per Master List and/or Route list Count Stock Calculate stock to be ordered Place Order within targeted stores Follow up and Confirm Orders Action any Returns and damages Manage stock levels Monitor and communicate pricing in store Negotiate promotional activity Implement promotional plans Communicate product range changes etc to Store/Floor Management Monitor target achievement and implement action plans Utilise deals as negotiated by Clients/Principals Manage the process of sell-in of stock and expiry dates Address Pricing and Delivery Issues Negotiate additional ad hoc displays Negotiate forward share in store to reflect Joya internal objectives Ensure that shelf health is maintained Negotiate and implement pos within agreed timelines.
Effective Administration: Complete customer record cards and ensure properly maintained Complete Reports as requested Feedback on competitor activity in the trade Complete damages and returns documentation as required Ensure the safe-keeping and maintenance of Company Equipment Complete deposit slips and receipts as required Provide photos of all displays Effective Client and Customer Relations: Maintain good working relationships at store level with both customer and client Greet Store Management and Staff and be friendly at all times Feedback on customer complaints, queries and requests Adhere to Store Rules and Regulations at all times Supervision of Staff: Conduct Floor Walks with staff Communication cycle priorities and objectives to staff Conduct on-the-job training where required Feedback to Regional Sales Manager on absenteeism and misconduct issues Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Grade 12 Tertiary Qualification Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in sales within the FMCG industry Valid Divers licence Experience with Shoprite, PnP and Spar and Independent Wholesale will be an advantage Skills/Competencies Required: Strong Business acumen (numeric and literacy) Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Networking – Relationship building Customer Orientated Negotiating and influencing skills Conflict handling Emotional resilience and ability to manage stress Detail oriented Interpersonal Skills Fast paced and action oriented If you have not heard back from us within 3 weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
