Responsibilities:Aligning departmental goals, processes, and resource allocation with the organizational strategy.Assessing supply chain vulnerabilities and making recommendations for improvement.Conducting analyses of operations data and making recommendations for improvement based on findings.Conducting research and analyses of operational effectiveness, processes, stakeholders, etc.Creating and implementing operational plans for an organization's activities, including making decisions about locations, budgets, staffing levels, and timelines.Developing and managing budgets for operational activity.Developing and overseeing operational processes and procedures to ensure they are aligned with the company's strategic objectives.Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.Evaluating current processes and making recommendations for improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.Evaluating current operational procedures, identifying inefficiencies, and making recommendations for improvement.Evaluating employee performance and providing feedback to help employees identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.Implementing new technologies and systems to streamline operations and actively drive capex projects across the business.Leading analytical efforts supporting our business teams in an unstructured environment to identify insights and improve decision-making.Managing and motivating a team of operations staff, providing guidance and support as needed.Monitoring KPIs and developing metrics to assess performance and identify areas of improvement.Monitoring and reporting on projects.Participating in strategic planning sessions with other members of management to discuss long-range goals and objectives.Planning and implementing strategies for controlling costs, reducing risk exposure, improving efficiency, and ensuring regulatory compliance.Preparing reports and presentations on operational activity for executive management.Presenting findings, projections, and recommended actions (Job costings, w/o, plan around, PO gaps, and stock management).Researching and staying up to date on industry trends and best practices.Reviewing reports on supply chain activities to ensure that they meet company standards.Supporting and guiding senior executive decision-making processes.Supporting the development of long-term organizational strategy.Working closely with other departments to develop and implement new strategies and processes.Requirements:Advanced Excel skills (can maintain complex spreadsheets); SQL knowledge is a plus.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.Experience answering unstructured business questions and working independently to drive projects and analytical tasks to conclusion.Expert communication and interpersonal skills.Proven track record of leading initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a fast-paced, team environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication, organization, and inter-personal skills.5+ years of experience using data analytics to solve complex business problems.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of developing and executing operational strategies.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Development Studies or in a related field or equivalent experience.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
