A vacancy exists for a Feeing Clerk, based at Life Diagnostic Imaging East Coast, reporting to the Credit Manager, Rochelle Higgs. The successful candidate will become part of a professional team that continuously strives for the highest standards of quality in Life Healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately feeing all job cards so that timeous payment may be received on all accounts. This position also assists as Switchboard relief.Critical OutputsAll job cards are feed within 24 hours of completion of examination.All job cards are checked, and rejections are corrected before invoicing.All invoices which need to be submitted to medical aids for payments are processed on EDI.EDI is reconciled to identify rejections and to ensure that all invoices are processed correctly, and payment received.Check age analysis daily and process any credits or adjustments.Sort through accounts, post, email, SMS and/or send Final Notices.Check error list and un-feed list.Correct errors/rejections and resubmit claims.Follow up on tariff updates and authorizations.Provide patient quotations on request.Attend to any queries on feeing of accounts.Attend to all emails received.Maintain medical aids, referring doctor's information, exam structures, prices and codes on system.Raise journals for correct account adjustments.Any other duties that may be required from time to time.RequirementsGrade 12 or equivalent.Experience within a healthcare environment including people management and customer service experience.Comprehensive knowledge of admissions procedures.Experience in dealing with customers.Available to come to work at short notice.Ability to work under pressure.Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage.Computer proficiency.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a prerequisite.Experience in dealing with patients.Knowledge of medical terminology will be advantageous.Teamwork is essential.CompetenciesDrive & energyPlanning & OrganisingCustomer responsivenessProblem-solving skillsResilienceAttention to detailExcellence and service orientationBuilding relationshipsOrganisational awarenessKnowledge of Medical Aids and authorisation processEmail: ****** Closing date: Friday, November 29, 2024Internal applicants - Before making an application, you are requested to discuss your application with your line manager.
