ResponsibilitiesManage a restaurant in accordance with Restaurant's Policies and Procedures.Maximize restaurant sales and profitability by effective deployment of labour, assets and production costs.Maintain excellence in the execution of all duties.Focus on exceeding customer expectations.Develop and train staff, providing both negative and positive reinforcement, and recognize superior performance.Maximize profitability by monitoring food, packaging, and labour costs as well as controllable expenditure to ensure alignment with established targets.Ensure that all restaurant resources, i.e., labour, product, supplies, tills, and equipment are at correct levels to meet various volumes of business.Adhere to cash handling and in-restaurant banking procedures at all times.Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock checks in the restaurant.Order supplies correctly, check deliveries, and monitor stock levels daily and weekly, investigating and reporting any discrepancies.Prepare weekly labour schedules in advance, ensuring all shifts are properly staffed and labour costs align with the budget.Ensure recruitment practices do not conflict with the Company's non-discriminatory policy.Provide comprehensive induction and training for all staff, encouraging progression through the training program.Ensure staff development and succession planning for full management of the restaurant.Follow Policies and Procedures to minimize employee relations issues within the restaurant.Action recruitment and termination payroll change documentation and forward updates to the HR Department.Coordinate, hold, and record monthly staff meetings to discuss various issues affecting the restaurant/team.Ensure all staff and management are fully trained in fire procedures, health, safety, food hygiene practices, and security and robbery procedures.Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly administration accurately in line with procedures.Keep accurate operating reports.Ensure standards align with HACCP.Ensure Safety, Health, and Hygiene standards comply with statutory regulations.Carry out Local Store Marketing activities as authorized by the Regional Operations Manager.Monitor local competitor activity and any local events that may affect business volume.Coordinate the implementation of in-store promotions and ensure all staff are fully briefed in advance.Monitor operating practices and address any identified problems.Demonstrate belief in people by treating each person in the restaurant fairly and with respect.Recognize individuals frequently and encourage them to recognize each other.Coach and support staff, ensuring effective on-the-job training.Demonstrate teamwork by helping staff and management with their work, cross-training them, resolving concerns, and holding regular team meetings.Hire, develop, and promote restaurant staff in consultation with the Area/Regional manager.Administer progressive discipline as needed, ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations.RequirementsGrade 12 / NQF 42 years Fast Food / Restaurant Manager experience - preferably with Pizza Hut / KFCCredit worthiness (ITC check)Micros / GAAP POS – 3 years' experienceOnly SA Citizens will be considered
