Fashion Director - Gq

Condé Nast has an opportunity for a Fashion Director for GQ who will be responsible for the process of creating, developing and presenting fashion content. The successful candidate will be required to: • Write, edit, produce photo shoots, and create original fashion features. • Advise, assist, or supply Fashion content for digital platforms where required.  • Engage with the brand development, marketing, and sales departments to set the fashion editorial direction.  • Create and maintain brands that are attractive to the audience and advertisers.  • Assist with commercial fashion and editorial concept development; execution; etc.  • Maintain close relationships with advertisers and other commercial partners as far as fashion is concerned. • Follow industry publications. • Meet designers and industry insiders to understand new industry trends. • Style and produce shoots for non-fashion editorials and advertorials, as necessary. • Conceptualizing, presenting, and styling fashion pages according to the brand's aesthetic.  • Represent the brand's fashion interests internally and externally throughout the industry and at relevant events, conferences, etc Minimum Requirements: • Matric qualification. • Relevant Fashion Design qualification Work-related experience: Minimum: • Proven work experience as a fashion editor/director • Strong editing skills with an excellent portfolio • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills • Creativity and an eye for detail • Prioritisation and time management skills Job Skills:Minimum: ProactivePeople Oriented Good listening skills Good oral communication Team player Problem solver Excellent time management Excellent written communication Customer Service orientated Good presentation skills Condé Nast is committed to its Employment Equity and Affirmative Action Strategy. All interested and suitably qualified applicants should submit a written application and detailed CV by no later than 16h30 on Friday the 30 September 2024 to: Lindiswa Putuma Human Resources  Email: ****** you have not heard from us within two weeks of submitting your application, please regard your application as unsuccessful.
