As the Faculty Engagement and Academic Affairs Officer, you will play a key role in supporting our faculty members throughout their academic careers, from recruitment and reviews to development and senior promotions. This role requires a blend of project management, policy implementation, and stakeholder engagement to drive key initiatives within the department.

In this highly collaborative position, you will be responsible for managing the administrative processes related to academic promotions, providing committee support, and leading projects that enhance faculty engagement. You will work closely with internal and external partners to improve operations and elevate the faculty experience. Relying on your strong communication and analytical skills, you will build and maintain department relationships with faculty, senior leadership, and other stakeholders, and ensure accuracy in the application of university policies, while striving to continually find ways to raise the stature of our faculty and department.

Your responsibilities will include: Implementing project initiatives by executing tasks, building stakeholder relationships, and ensuring best practicesOverseeing project cycles, tracking progress, verifying documentation, and recommending process improvementsManaging the clinical/MD promotions process, including dossier preparation, document verification, and compliance with standardsImplementing process improvements for academic activities based on feedback and evaluationPreparing reports, summaries, and data to support promotions and projectsProviding committee support, including scheduling meetings, developing agendas, taking minutes and following up on action itemsOffering guidance on academic policies, best practices, and committee proceduresCoordinating communications and ensuring decisions are implemented and tracked effectivelyEssential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.Minimum five years' relevant experience in academic administration, particularly in faculty promotions and supporting senior level committeesStrong project management skills, with demonstrated experience implementing complex projectsExperience working with and advising senior leadership on academic policies and best practicesExperience supporting and coordinating departmental academic searches and reviewsAdvanced proficiency in MS Office SuiteExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft correspondence and reports with minimal supervisionStrong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a superior customer service orientationProven ability to manage multiple priorities and demands, while maintaining high attention to detail and meeting deadlinesExperience maintaining and updating administrative processesAbility to concisely summarize information from multiple sourcesA proven commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusivityAssets (Nonessential): Familiarity with Temerty Faculty of Medicine and affiliated hospital policies and proceduresExperience working with Laserfiche and FOCUSTo be successful in this role you will be: AccountableInsightfulMeticulousOrganized Closing Date: 10/02/2024, 11:59PM ET
