Job Purpose: To provide administrative support to the faculty, staff and students.To fulfill a key role in the interface with the university, faculty, students, public and industry.To display and implement sound administrative principles and skills during the admission and registration process, as well as the identification of potential graduates.Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalentAt least two (2) years relevant experience in a faculty office or academic/student administration support departmentProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteWorking knowledge of the student life cycle and familiar with systems like MAS, Blackboard, APS, as well as ITS, amongst othersKey Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities: Administration and processing of admission, registration, student records, examinations and graduation-related dataAssisting with student registration and amendments on ITSIdentification of graduatesProcessing of applicationsLiaison with internal/external stakeholdersRender general office administration and maintenance of the filing systemAccurate records administrationDatabase administration, for example capturing of subject weights.Receiving, compiling and summarizing all required documents for relevant faculty committee meetingsChecking for completeness and correctness of relevant documentsPreparing of templates for submission to Faculty Management and SenexInvolved in computation of marksLanguage proficiency in EnglishTechnical/professional knowledge and skills in ITS and administrationGood interpersonal and communication skillsOrganizational and planning skillsComputer literacy in MS Office Suite and GroupWiseStrong client focusAccuracy and attention to detailAbility to work under pressureStress toleranceTeam PlayerGeneral Information: Closing date: 20 October 2024
