Recruiter Health Sciences - Business Management OfficeBrief Description:The main purpose of this position is to provide financial and business support and assistance to the faculty administrative staff and assist the Faculty Business Manager in the financial activities required to enable the Dean to provide a full financial accountability for the Faculty.Key Functions:Deputize and assist the Business Manager in all Financial matters.Report monthly on actual versus budget and analyze variances.Budget preparation and control.Financial management of the faculty.Responsible for the General and Subsidiary ledgers.Ensure compliance with audit reports.Management of the financial staff in the department.Asset management.Arrange and attend Finance meetings.Guide Faculty staff on the interpretation of financial policies.Compliance with the University policies and procedures.Qualifications and Experience:Three-year degree, either Accounting or Bachelor of Commerce, or equivalent, with 3-5 years' experience in Financial Management.Management and supervisory experience and the ability to do accounting up to balance sheet.A team player who can work independently and be a self-starter.Strong leadership skills with interpersonal skills are required.Financial IT experience (Oracle is an advantage).Higher Education experience is essential.Closing Date: 29 November 2024How To Apply:Please apply via i-Recruitment https://irec.wits.ac.za by 29th November 2024.Submit a cover letter, a detailed CV and contact numbers, and email addresses of 3 referees.The University is committed to employment equity.
