Key Responsibilities:
Production Management
Lead production processes to achieve high efficiency and productivity.
Implement and monitor production schedules to align with quality and customer demands.
Manage workflow and optimize factory resources to minimize waste and improve output.
Financial Management
Develop and manage the factory's budget, focusing on cost reduction and optimal resource utilization.
Track production costs, labor expenses, and inventory levels to maintain cost-effective operations.
Leadership and Culture
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Implement employee training and development programs to enhance skills and efficiency.
Ensure alignment with organizational goals and support performance improvement.
Ensure the coaching and development of Production Managers and supervisors.
Profitability
Maximize production output while minimizing costs to enhance profitability.
Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings in labor, materials, and overhead.
Analyze data to address inefficiencies and improve profit margins.
Teamwork and Self-Management
Foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on teamwork and effective communication.
Set clear goals for the team, ensuring alignment with production targets and individual accountability.
Maintain high standards for self-management, organization, and adherence to deadlines.
Qualification and Experience:
Education: Minimum Grade 12; a Degree in Production Management is advantageous.
Technical Skills:
Advanced Excel proficiency for report writing.
Knowledge of CNC machinery.
Familiarity with Syspro software.
Manufacturing Experience: 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within furniture manufacturing.
Specialized Knowledge: Line balancing and standard minute recoveries.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective people management.
Excellent administrative and organizational skills for seamless operation oversight.
Project management skills with proven leadership capabilities.
Advanced problem-solving abilities and a proactive, hands-on approach to challenges.
