Reference: PC001597-JF-1Our client based in Helderberg, Somerset West is looking for a Factory Engineer with an Industrial Engineering degree and 3-5 years experience in refrigeration and/or food industries to join their team.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEMPLOYMENT TYPE: PermanentSECTOR: EngineeringBASIC SALARY: Market RelatedSTART DATE: ImmediateREQUIREMENTS:Industrial Engineering Degree or similarMatric with MathematicsCAD Experience advantageousComputer literateExperience with ammonia refrigeration and food processing plantsProgramming PLC's and Inverters3 - 5 Years experience in the refrigeration and/or food industriesExperience with high capacity 3Ph motorsMechanical service experienceKnowledge of Pneumatic systems, switch gear and water treatmentMust be willing to work extended hours and possibly weekendsPreferably reside in the Helderberg/Stellenbosch areasDUTIES:Responsible for all maintenance and upkeep of the plant and facilitiesResponsible for implementing, maintaining and improving efficiencies within the plantResponsible for setting up and scheduling a maintenance programmeResponsible for maintaining adequate levels of spare partsMaintain a list of critical spare parts inventoryMaintain a list of approved components/parts suppliersResponsible for liaising with contractors/OEM suppliersAssist and manage new expansion programmesProject managementSetup Capital and Maintenance BudgetsEnsure compliance to OSHA and other relevant legislationEnsure a safe working environmentAttend to all breakdowns in the warehouse and production areasEnsure preventative maintenance is scheduled and attended toFind alternative ways to limit production downtime and increase productivityIdentify, meet and vet new maintenance suppliersEnsure ammonia plant is running at required suction pressuresHOURS:Mondays – Fridays 08:00 - 17:00CLOSING DATE:30 April 2024Should you meet all the requirements, apply on our website at www.statusstaffing.com today.
